• If a photograph or image is behind reflective glass, track lights should be no more than two to three feet from the wall.
• Accent lighting is typically at a 30-degree angle. With large frames, add another 5 degrees to reduce shadows.
• Oil paintings look best in a diffuse, wall washing light that minimizes glare.
• Sculptures are best lit from multiple angles that emphasize their three-dimensionality.

Kitchen: flexible track lighting and convenience

Track lighting is preferred in kitchens for its versatility and convenience. Flexible track lighting in particular can be shaped to match the specific design of your kitchen. A flexible track light combined with multi-purpose pendant fixtures will give a kitchen an entirely new look.

Flexible track lighting can be shaped to right angles or in a sinuous and aesthetically appealing manner. Before bending the track, use masking tape or wire coils to replicate the shape and length you desire. When bending, use a round object such as a trash can or bucket to ensure smoothly flowing curves.

The advantage of having flexible track lighting in the kitchen is that the placement and number of your lights is up to you. Shine a task light on cutting and baking areas, or focus on cozy ambience. It's all possible with flexible track lighting.
