Single Circuit & Two Circuit: What's the Difference?

No other lighting source can match the drama and diversity of track lighting. That's mostly a matter of design, but it's also an effect of which type of track lighting you install. Single circuit track lighting or two circuit track lighting is the question to be answered. Here's some information that will help you understand the difference between them.

Single circuit vs. twin circuit

Most home track lighting systems use single circuit track lighting, which is also known as mono or one circuit track lighting. When the lights are activated, all track heads turn on at the same time. With single circuit track lights, different effects are achieved through dimming or moveable light fixtures.

With two circuit track lighting (aka twin circuit track lighting), two separately controlled circuits use the same section of track. In essence, two lighting tracks are combined into one.
